Ande Parks Bio
Ande Parks has worked as a comic book artist and writer for more than three decades, on such characters as Batman, Superman, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, The Lone Ranger and Ant-Man. He is best known as an artist for his long stint on Green Arrow, with frequent collaborator Phil Hester and writers Kevin Smith, Brad Meltzer and Judd Winick. Parks' bold style garnered him nominations in both the Harvey and Eagle awards.
As a writer, Parks won acclaim for two historical fiction graphic novels, Union Station and Capote in Kansas, which was named a Notable Book by the state of Kansas. Parks developed Extraction with the Russo brothers and wrote the graphic novel’s script. The book was adapted as a worldwide hit film franchise for Netflix, starring Chris Hemsworth. Extraction is also in development as a Netflix original series, and a third film has been announced.
Parks is currently writing new projects for Ignition Press, including Tyler Rake: an Extraction Story and Bad Thoughts. He lives in Kansas. He is fond of fedoras, golf, and bourbon.
